Dear Parents,

I am excited to share a new partnership with ESD 112 Early Care & Education to offer school age child care (TK through 8th grade) at Skamania School during the school week. Care is available Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $43 dollars per day, and you must agree to the same days each week so staff can plan accordingly.

All students and staff will follow CDC and DOH health guidelines, which include wearing masks and temperature and health checks prior to entering the building. Staff will also provide remote learning support to students while they are in care.

Enrollment will be accepted on a rolling basis as space and staffing allows. We want to start the childcare services as soon as possible, however, we must reach a minimum enrollment.

Please register now at https://webdoc.esd112.org/Forms/ECEEnroll. The ESD 112 team will follow up with you to confirm enrollment or request additional information.

Please refer to the school reopening FAQs as to why we can offer child care but not have children in school classes to start the school year.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s email with more information about the first day of school.

We will continue to share more details on the 2020-2021 school year on our website. Please feel free to reach out to me with your questions at rpruitt@skamania.k12.wa.us.

Thank you,
Dr. Ralph Pruitt, Superintendent
Skamania School District
