Dear Parents,

Many of you have questions about what happens next as hopefully the number of cases continues to decline. As you know, we are providing online instruction for the month of September. At the end of the month, the school board will examine the COVID 19 case data to determine if we can move to the next phase. If the numbers decline for at least a three week period, and we are in at least a “moderate” range, according to the Skamania County and State Health Department, we will start bringing small groups of students to school for in-person learning on October 1. The board decided to prioritize our youngest students as the first ones to return. Transportation will be provided at that time. Our older students will continue online until the next phase.

I hope to see you on September 2nd or 3rd for our back to school event. During this outdoor event, students and their families may pick up chromebooks and receive additional information about school start up. If our office manager, Amber, hasn’t reached you yet for your appointment time, you may contact her at awarren@skamania.k12.wa.us.

We will continue to share more details on the 2020-2021 school year on our website. Please feel free to reach out to me with your questions at rpruitt@skamania.k12.wa.us.

Thank you,

Dr. Ralph Pruitt, Superintendent
