Seeking School Board Candidates

Skamania School District is looking for candidates to run for director positions. The county is accepting declarations of candidacy between May 13 and 17, 2019.

School Board members play very important roles in the school district:

  • Hold the district accountable for student learning
  • Engage the community in education.

What time commitment does the position require?

Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month, and Board workshops are held every other month on the second Monday. Board members receive agendas and background information to use in preparing for each meeting.

Positions #3 (Brenda Bush, current director) and #5 (Paul Keating, current director) are two-year unexpired terms, which will expire in 2021.
