Skamania School’s Band Program Receives Major Boost from Local Donor
Skamania School’s band program received a generous and impactful donation from a local community member. In an amazing act of generosity, Skamania County resident Karin Ditzler made a generous donation of more than $19,000 to Skamania School’s music department to fund a range of new instruments, including xylophones, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, and a saxophone. Moreover, Ditzler’s donation has made it possible to expand the band program to include 5th-grade students, fostering early musical engagement among youngsters. This act of generosity is expected to have a profound impact on the school’s music education, enhancing students’ learning experiences and fostering a stronger community spirit around the arts.
