Dear Parents,

I hope that you are enjoying this warm spring weather. Here is a brief update for the week.

New hotspot for internet access:

Our south parking lot has a new hotspot called HomeworkHub for those of you without internet access. There is no login to take advantage of this free access point.

Registering now for the fall:

We are now accepting pre-K and kindergarten applications for the fall. The pre-k transitional kindergarten program is for students who will be 4 years old by August 30, 2020. You are welcome to enroll online using this link (https://skamaniaschooldistrict.org/student-registration/). Feel free to call the school and talk to Amber with questions.

Choice transfer:

All choice transfer/boundary exception applications are due by June 1st. Visit our school website, and submit the choice request online using the Choice Transfer Request Portal https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/ChoiceTransferRequest/ located in the Registration section on the homepage.

Fall opening:

Our small size may allow us to open sooner rather than later because of our ability to social distance. Therefore, we are exploring various options in order to be ready for the next phase. Our model will align with State guidelines with safety as a high priority. We are hoping to have a better idea later this month.

Dates to remember:

  • June 1 – Choice transfer request deadline
  • June 19 – Last day of school

Let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,
Dr. Ralph Pruitt, Superintendent
